TRELLIS

Best for MIT-licensed image-to-3D on Linux.

Microsoft Research's structured-latent 3D generator: give it an image, or text with the text models, and it produces a 3D asset that can be decoded to a mesh, Gaussian splats or a radiance field. For a solo game maker it is the fully MIT-licensed route to image-to-3D, with no territory or revenue clauses, at the cost of a Linux box with a large NVIDIA card. The successor TRELLIS.2 adds PBR materials and needs 24 GB of VRAM.
