Make the game you always wanted
AI Games Den is for everyone using AI to make games: writing the code with it, making the art, music and voices with it, or putting it inside the game itself, where the characters think. A place to talk about all of that, friendly, honest and calm.
Why this exists
There is a lot of anger about AI out there, and some of it is earned. AI raises real questions about where training data came from, about credit, about what happens to the people who make art and code for a living. None of that goes away because a tool is fun to use.
But the tools also let ordinary people do things they could not do before. How many of us have wanted to make a game since we were kids, and stalled on the one skill we never picked up? Suddenly that skill is not the wall it used to be. A person with an idea, some patience and an afternoon can have something playable, and then keep going. A coder who cannot draw can have sprites. An artist who cannot code can have a build. And a whole new kind of game is possible, where the characters improvise instead of reading from a script.
Bringing that up in most game communities gets you shouted down. So this is the den: a safe place to talk about the fun part, compare notes on what worked, and be honest about what did not.
What we are
A feed of games made with AI, written up by the people who made them, with Builder Notes that say plainly which tools did what, discipline by discipline, and which parts a human did by hand. That covers all three ways AI shows up: as the coding partner, as the source of art, music, voices and animation, and as something running inside the game, driving characters, dialogue or worlds while you play. A directory of those tools with checked facts. A list of makers. Comments and one kind of applause. That is the whole site.
The community is watched and moderated. Civil and constructive is the bar, and we hold it. Say what you used. No tool-shaming, no scores, no drive-bys.
What we are not
We do not sell games. Every button on a game page links out to Steam, itch.io or the maker's own site. Nothing here is a store, and nothing here is meant to pull attention away from what is on the stores. A game's home is where it is sold and played. This site is about how it was built, and only that.
We do not keep what you do not want here. Some games appear as unclaimed entries because we saw them in the wild and thought they deserved a mention. If one is yours and you would rather it were not listed, say so and it comes down, no questions.
We are not here to argue. Whether AI in games is good or bad is a fine debate, and there are plenty of places to have it. This is not one of them.
Who is behind it
One person, for now, operating as Brightwing Systems, LLC. Why a company rather than a name? Because the company already existed, and in a litigious world it seemed the sensible way to run a site that other people's work appears on. Reports, take-downs and claims all land with a human who reads them. You can reach that human at support@aigamesden.com.
Go make games
Brandon Sanderson has a line about writing that fits here. Nobody walks up to someone shooting hoops in a park and asks when they are going pro. They are playing because they like playing. Writing works the same way, and so does this.
Want to make games? Make games. If you only ever scratch your own itch and have fun doing it, that is the whole point. And if you want to show what you made and how, this is the place.
