AI Games Den
Privacy
Effective 2026-09-15. Written in plain language on purpose.
This is what AI Games Den collects, what it does with it, and what you can do about it. Brightwing Systems, LLC runs the site and is the controller of this data.
What is public
The site is a public place. Anything you post is visible to anyone, with your name on it: games, Builder Notes, notes, comments, props, tool suggestions once published, your maker profile, your handle, your display name and your picture. Pictures and video you upload are stored on Amazon S3 in the United States and served from public addresses that anyone holding the link can open. They carry a one-year cache header, so a copy can persist in a browser or a network cache after you delete the original.
What we collect, and why
- Your account. Your email address, a password if you set one, and a display name. Email is used to sign you in, to confirm your address, to reset a password, and for the messages below. It is never shown on the site.
- Sign-in with Google or GitHub. If you use one, the provider sends us your email address, your name, and for GitHub your username. We use the email to find or create your account, and only when the provider says it is verified. We keep the link to the provider so you can sign in with it again; you can disconnect it under Connected accounts.
- Human checks. Signing up, signing in, resetting a password and every post form use Cloudflare Turnstile, which receives your IP address and browser details to decide whether you are a person. Cloudflare's own privacy policy covers what it keeps.
- Server logs. Requests are logged with your IP address, browser and the page you asked for, for security and for rate limits, and kept for a short time. We use the IP to limit how often one address can post, report or sign in.
- Reports, removal requests and claims. A report or removal request stores what you wrote and the email you gave. A claim stores what you wrote and what the system could see, such as a connected GitHub username. These are read by a person and kept as the record of the decision.
- Moderation. A removed comment is hidden, not erased, so the desk has a record. A suppressed email address or listing is kept on a list so it cannot be re-added.
Email we send
Transactional mail only: confirming your address, password resets, notices about your account, and the outcome of a claim or a report you made. We send it through Postmark, a mail service that processes your address to deliver the message. We do not send newsletters today; if we start one, it will be opt-in.
Cookies and storage
A session cookie keeps you signed in and a CSRF cookie protects forms. Both are ours and neither tracks you across other sites. Your theme choice is kept in your browser's local storage. There is no advertising, and no analytics or error-tracking service is running at the moment; if we turn one on, it will be self-hosted and this page will say so.
Where it lives and who sees it
The site runs on a server we operate, with uploads on Amazon S3 in the United States. Cloudflare sees traffic that passes through the human check, Postmark sees the mail we send, and Google or GitHub see a sign-in if you use them. Nobody else gets your data, and we do not sell it.
How long
Your account and what you posted stay until you remove them or close the account. Server logs are kept for a short period and rotate on their own. Backups of the database are kept for a limited time and expire on their own, so removed content can persist in a backup briefly after it leaves the site.
Your choices
- Edit or remove your games, notes and comments yourself, from the page.
- Change your email, password and connected accounts under your account settings.
- Ask us to close your account and delete your data by writing to privacy@brightwingsystems.com. We delete the account and its private data; content you posted that other people have replied to may be kept in an anonymised form so their conversation still makes sense, unless you ask for it to go too.
- Ask us what we hold about you, and we will tell you.
Age
The site is for people 16 and over. We do not knowingly keep data about anyone younger; if you think we have, write to us and we will remove it.
Changes
If this page changes in a way that matters, we say so on the site before it takes effect. The date at the top is the date of the current version.
