Astropulse's pixel-art generator, built on models trained on artist-licensed sprites, sold two ways: a one-time-purchase Aseprite extension that runs locally, and a credit-based web app and API for sprites, animations and tilesets. It is not open source: the models and extension are proprietary, and only the API examples, MCP server and pixel-art fixer repos on GitHub are public. A solo pixel-art maker uses it for style-consistent sprites, palette-constrained output and quick tileset variations.
